Layton's Legacy Fundraiser & Card Drive Blog Hop - Coffee Cup Card by Honey Bee Stamps

Today I'm taking part in Lea Lawson's Card Drive & Blog Hop in honour of her son Layton's memory. The Blog Hop also has the aim of helping her to raise money so that she can share a little bit of kindness with parents of children in the Neonatal, Intensive Care Unit at The University of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital - USA.
Lea's story is heartbreaking. She spent many days at the hospital when her son Layton was hospitalized and she remembers the day when she was given a $20 Starbucks gift card that had been donated to the NICU. She explains how that simple random act of kindness made her feel that someone was thinking about them in such a difficult moment.
Her incredible efforts to extend that act of kindness in her son's memory already got the support of the most amazing stamping & papercrafting companies in the industry and she has raised over $2000 USD in prizes.
With the money raised, Lea will buy substantial Starbucks gift cards that can be given to parents of children in the NICU. There are 50 beds in the NICU and it is always full.
Why Starbucks? because there is one of their coffee shops right in front of the hospital.
Card Drive
We are all making cards based on the theme/moodboard (woodland) below to be sent to Lea so she can deliver to parents and families in the NICU together with the coffee gift cards.
I made a couple of cards and as they will deliver Coffee Gift cards I defo had to use the Cup of Coffee Die by Honey Bee Stamps.

For every $5 donated, you will be entered into the prize draw!! All winners will be drawn from donations made through the YouCaring Site. **Prizes will be drawn and announced on

ReplyDeleteBibi!! These are SO amazing!!! I LOVE that they are coffee shaped {so fitting}, and those critters are the cutest! Especially the bears...I always called my son Layton Bear, so I have a special affection for them. :)

ReplyDeleteI am so loving this hop and all the creative cards I am seeing. I see you have a die cutter. I think every crafter in the world has a die cutter but me. I love the coffee cups and the sentiment on the card. They will be great for the people in the NICU. Layton would be so proud of his parents. I know he's watching from Heaven. As soon as I finish all the birthday cards I have to do for this month, I am going to start on my cards for Layton and his memory.
