Chillin Gnomes by Simon Says Stamp

June 29, 2020

Hi there,  I have a couple of cards to share with you today using Chillin Gnomes stamp set by Simon Says Stamp.

These are simple and mindless compositions to enjoy a little bit of coloring.

So I first stamped the images on watercolor paper using Versafine Onix Ink.

After stamping,  I  could hear the empty space around them images calling for some colour!

Then I used stencils and distress inks to complete these scenes.

Gnome Graffiti

I'm still not sure if stenciling the whole panel with the brick wall pattern was a good call for the card below.

I was experimenting and I liked very much using the stencil. I couldn't stop!

So this scene looks more like a very unusual graffiti and it makes no sense whatsoever but cardmaking is not the right place to think too much about what makes sense and what doesn't lol.

Cardmaking is all about having fun creating and giving.

The big  "Love You" sentiment is from  Happy Days Stamp Set.

After stenciling, I then used Zigs to add colors to the images and  I applied Nuvo Midas Touch over them.

BTW,  for today's cards I used Pave the Way,  Freshly Cut, Build It, Cloudy Days stencils by Clearly Besotted.

I think that these or similar scene building stencils could be a perfect match for the cute little images from  Chillin Gnomes stamp set.

Keep Calm ...Gnome Matter What

For the second card, I was a bit more conscious.

So  I used a piece of paper to mask the areas I shouldn't cover with the stenciled image and things make a lot more sense.

I added Nuvo Crystal Glaze to the gnome glasses and the ball.

That's all for today.

Thank you very much for stopping by.

Happy Crafting

  1. I love cute gnomes, but not in my garden lol. Your designs are gorgeous, personally I like the full wall but I see what you're saying about the decision to do full or partial. Stay safe, healthy and happy x
