Simon Says Stamp DieCember®! Blog Hop + Giveaway #sssdiecember

December 02, 2017

Hello everyone, today  I'm taking part of a blog hop - Giveaway to share ideas and inspiration with the latest Simon Says Stamp release.

The release called DieCember®!  offers 33 awesome dies and stunning glitter paper perfect for die cutting. Follow on Instagram with the hashtag #sssdiecember.

Have a look at the whole release here!

I fell in love with "Oh Hello There Wafer Die" designed by Kristina Werner for Simon Says Stamps and  I make 4 projects to share with you today

To make this card, I stamped the flowers from SSS Friends of Life Stamp Set with Clear Versamark Ink and Nuvo Fine Detail embossing powder and I applied 2 watercolor washes:  1. Lapiz Lazuli Genuine, 2. Blue Apatite Genuine  Watercolor paints by Daniel Smith. I stamped the leaves using Faded Jeans Distress Ink and I use a water brush over the Distress Ink to soften the color.

I also applied Iridescent  Sunstone Daniel Smith 's Watercolor paint to the center of the flowers. I love the contrasts between the dark blue shades and this soft peach color.

I wanted to add dimension the word "hello", so I die cut it 3 times form navy blue cardstock and I glue them all together, then  I applied Nuvo Crystal  Glaze all over and allowed to dry overnight.

For the card below I stamped the image from Floral Bliss Stamp Set, on 300grams cold - cold pressed watercolor paper with Simon Says Stamp Black ink and I applied color with Zigs ( Kuretake Clean Colour real Brush).

I  used Craft Perfect Black Mirror Cardstock to die cut the sentiment ( Oh hello there)

I also used a gold watercolor paint from Kuretake Starry Colours to add gold accents to the flowers, it is very hard to show in pictures but  I love the golden shimmer it adds to the projects.

I also added craft foam at the back of the front panel and   I also used Wonky Rectangles Wafer Dies  to create that beautiful stitched frame around the edge of the card.

Below a very simple watercolor composition.  I used the darker blue pen, a dark green and also a black pen from Nuvo Brush Scrip pens ( water- based)  and I apply the pen directly on dry watercolor paper. Then I  used a Silver Velvet brush #2 to wash the color.

I also add a blue watercolor paint by Daniel Smith and Schmincke: Horadam Watercolour Paint: 5ml: Titanium Opaque White to add light.

To create that beautiful stitched frame around the edge of the card I used Wonky Rectangles Wafer Dies

I couldn't  resist making a super easy Christmas project too using also Swirling Star Trail  Wafer Dies by Simon Says Stamps. I sie dut readily the 3" circle die cut to create the tag below.
