Grab a cup of coffee and relax because  we have a lot to share with  you today!  23 papercraft artists from all over the world are participating in this blog hop to share ideas and inspiration whilst showcasing   Under the Sea -  Honey Bee Stamps July's products release available now at Honey Bee Stamps Shop.

This is a MASSIVE ocean themed release and you can see complete release here!  I'm loving the mermaids, the  nautical stamps  and the embellishments are to die for. 

I made samples using   Message in a Bottle Stamp Set  and Mermaid Song Stamp Set  and I also used Coral Shell Sequin Mix  to add a little bit of sparkle. 


MESSAGE IN A BOTTLE 


The bottle stamp from Message in a Bottle measures 4-3/4"  x 2" inches (12.5 x 5 cm) and it is just the perfect size to create a tag  and  I  also made a quick  card  using the same image .


To  easy add colour to bottle, flowers and see stars I simply used  water brushes and  the purple and blue Nuvo Brush Script Pens on Bristol paper , this is my favorite smooth  paper to  be used with water based markers.

I also created a striped background by tracing some light blue lines with Nuvo Brushes in plain white smooth cardstock. 

I'm also loving the Sticky Thumb Pop Dots, they are perfect to add dimension.


I used 5  of the 17 images in the stamp set and  I multi stamped the sentiments using Distress Oxide Wilted Violet ink and  Dusty Concord Distress ink .

I added some  flowers  from Busy Bees Stamp Set  and   Coral Shell Sequin Mix  to add a fun dimensional and decorative element.

I  applied  Raspberry Pink Nuvo Crystal Drops and some strokes of Indian Gold Nuvo embellishment Mousse  to add sparkle.

I also enjoyed watercoloring the sweet images of Mermaid Song Stamp Set  to  create a  s happy beach scene. Isn't she adorable?

There are 19 images in the set and 24 sentiments ! that's a MASSIVE stamp set with 43 stamps to play with .and Im so loving the little images,  The sea shells and  the crap are my favorite!

I also added colour to this card  with Nuvo Water Brushes  and Nuvo Brush Script Pens on Watercolor paper. I added sparkle with a Silver Nuvo Glitter Pen and Indian Gold Nuvo embellishment Mousse.

      Hi Sandy Thanks for asking. 1st. I made a tag and decided to paste on a card base so I wrapped the twine around the neck of the bottle before gluing it down. 2. After applying watercolor markers on the whole scene I drew some lines with a white colour pencil over the mermaid tail fins and over the blue water. Then I applied white watercolor pencil and blended with a bit of water. The colour pencil wax avoid colour bleeding ... it kind of creates a protector layer on the watercolour so the colours underneath doesn't blend and get all moody when applying water again, so it create that transparent effect. ( I hope you can understand me .. so sorry my English is very basic) . x hugs Bibi
