Wafer Paper Stamping with Bunch of Blossoms Stampin Up

August 31, 2016

Hi there, I'm Stampin' Up! Demonstrator in the UK and I like to make alternative projects with Stampin' Up! tools so after making the project for my previous blog post in which I share an idea to make  plain white delicate wafer paper flowers, I decided to make a vibrant version of them and stamp on wafer paper to make a glorious  cookie decoration.

I used Bunch of Blossom Bundle  by Stampin' Up!  The bundle includes a flower punch and a stamp set.  With them   making  your own designer cookies is super easy and you can make them in any colour.

I love them to bits and they were  sweet and tasty! oh! what I shame eating them.

I have to say I struggle making the cookies as baking is not my speciality.  However  after trying a couple of times  I got the cookies as I wanted but  I  defo  need to improve  my royal icing skills.

To make the cookies  I used the recipe in this video here, the only thing is that I needed to add a bit more than 300grs of flour. I applied flour to the dough  until it wasn't sticky and that was all.

Making the Flowers was the fun part .  It  is like making flowers with regular paper  but knowing that wafer  paper is dramatically affected by water I knew I had to be careful.

You can buy 24/7 all the Stampin' Up! materials used to make this project  simple click on the pictures at the bottom of this post to be redirected to my online shop.

Non Stampin' Up! supplies used:
  • Wafer paper ( white generic)
  • Designer icing by Dr. Oetker
  • Pink Food colouring by Wilton
  • Yellow and blue food colouring by Tesco ( to create the green in the leaves - strong flavor, not good for stamping)
  • White shimmery pearls (Tesco)

Note:  for the cookie icing I mixed the "Dr. Oetker designer icing"  with some drops of water for the cookie icing and apply with baker sleeve in circular motion.

Please find more info about royal icing in the video HERE. I found this video comprehensive and it help me to apply Royal Icing for very first time. I also watched the video HERE and this one helps me a lot to understand the flooding technique  on cookies.

I  really hope you enjoyed the project today.  If you would like to place an order for any of the products used in this post  or any other Stampin' Up! supplies, simply CLICK HERE  or in the pictures below to go direct to my online shop 24/7.
