Hello from Scotland everyone! I hope you are having a great day and welcome to a new Simon Says Stamp blog hop to celebrate Blossoms and Butterflies release here!

Today I'm sharing ideas using Dhalia Frame Wafer Die, Floral Mix Background, and Tiny Words Encouragement Stamp Set and a 5- minutes video to show you the process.

All the cards below are size: C6 (5-1/2 x 4-1/4" inches)

I also used every single die cut (nothing was wasted ) and I defo had to try different colours!!

Which colour do you like the most?

I heat emboss the backgrounds on Arches watercolour paper using embossing powders and Simon Says Stamp clear ink. Then I applied different shades of Nuvo Aqua Flow Pens over the paper and I sprayed loads of water.

I allowed to dry and I used Dhalia Frame Wafer Die to cut the backgrounds and this allowed me to create a dimensional framed composition.

Behind the die cut flower, I added Craft Perfect Glitter cardstock in a colour that coordinates with the embossing powder used for each card.

I also used Press'n Seal to hold die cuts in place while glueing all together. This is not strictly necessary but it helps a lot.

Tiny Words Encouragement Stamp Set was perfect to stamp small banners to add to all my projects today.

I also used a couple of dies to cut a gift box and a tag. All the products used to create projects in this post are listed below.

Christmas cards with Picture Book Dies and Outline Snowflake background by Simon Says Stamps

Hello everyone, Today I'm sharing Christmas cards ideas using beautiful products by Simon Says Stamp.

I used: Outline Snowflake Background Stamp which is simply spectacular and I also used Picture Book Santa, Picture Book Snowman Picture Book Deer wafer dies. Those are fantastic, and I die cut them out of watercolour paper to add washes of colour and give them an extra special look.

The sentiments are for a very comprehensive stamp set called Tiny Word Christmas with over 40 individual stamps.

To add colours to the die cuts I used Zigs ( Kuretake Clean Colour Real Brush watercolour markers) and a water brush.

What I do is apply the ink of the marker directly on the edges of the die cuts and with the water brush, I spread the colour towards the centre of the die cut.

I apply all the colours I want to blend. eg. red, brown, grey and then I blend them with the water brushes.

To add colour to the backgrounds I used Nuvo Aqua Flow Pens.

I heat embossed the image from Outline Snowflake Background Stamp in 3 different watercolor panels using gold, clear and silver embossing powders. Then I apply the ink of the Aqua Flow Pens randomly over the paper and then I sprayed it with water to blend and mix the colours.. this was very easy and I love the results as you get darker areas that make the snowflakes pop out.
