Hello Everyone,  I hope you had a great week! Today I want to share  another  card idea using More Spring Flowers Stamp Set by Simon Says and this time I used Derwent Watercolor Pencils to colour the small floral images.

I used the fallowing Derwent Pencil colours:
Flowers: Geranium Lake 15, Iris Blue or Ultramarine 0700,  Dark Violet,  Fuchsia 0700.
Leaves: Teal Green 1300, Spring Green1550, golden yellow, 0230 Deep Indigo 1100.

I like to use both a subtle or  dark card base to glue down my watercolored panels and use  different elements such as die cuts, banners or stamp sentiments directly on the watercolor panel, my favourites inks to stamp sentiments on watercolour paper are: Stazon black ink or Memento Black ink and  I  also like to use a stamping platform to be able to stamp the sentiment twice if necessary. 

This post meant to go live yesterday  but  I had some technical issues editing the video tutorial here ! and I have to repeat it  3 times !! Nooo at the end  I decided  to  join all the pieces of different videos together.... Hopefully you barely will notice this when watching.

I can't believe how beautiful and vibrant the ink of the Nuvo Brish Scrip Pens looks on coloured cardstock. The pens were amazing to colour the images of  More Spring Flowers Stamp Set by Simon Says... a very  easy, quick and pleasant watercolor experience.

I didn't even apply the pen's ink evenly as I was rushing out  and experimenting . The true about this card is that I  wanted to see  how the floral  images of the stamp set   will show up on light coloured  cardstock .   I liked the results so that  I decided to  go ahead  and finished the card to share it with you.  

• This pens offer great blendability options. You will find pens with  light and a darker  shade of the same ink tone in the collection:  e.g. a lilac  and a dark purple  so that you can easily add contrast and shadows using same ink colours.
• You can always blend the inks of different pens to get new colours e.g: blue +yellow to get green.  etc.
• You can always play and overlay colours (not need to blend them completely) just allow the ink to dry and then apply contrasting colour on top.
• The pen tip absolutely fantastic to apply colour to very small images and easy to blend on larger image so you won't  see the seams or marks where you have applied the pens.
• The pen's ink  didn't bleed to unwanted areas during application.
• This is a water based product so you can mix it with water to apply different techniques, the inks blend nicely and dry fast.  
• You can apply the pen inks directly on stamps and stamp with them  or apply it on a clear block  to splatter a background with a water brush.
• Nice pens for hand lettering and general drawing .

What about creating some fun textures using the grid stamp on Sending Flowers Stamp Set by Simon Says Stamp?  Yesterday I shared the idea on Facebook and people seems to like it so  I decided to give it a special mention on my blog post today.

Sending Flowers Stamp Set  has be designed to stamp creative handmade envelopes. I never had a stamp like this one in my stash. It is soooooo unique!

When I used the set for first time I couldn't avoid thinking in mix and match its images with large floral stamps from others sets. I also thought of making cards with any of the 13 individual images in the set  or using some of the stamps to add decorative elements to my projects. Click here to see a couple of samples using the frame stamp in the set +  Kind Soul Stamp Set by WPlus9.

I have been also playing with More Spring Flowers Stamp Set by Simon Says Stamp (this week I'll be sharing a daily project made using the set)  and I made the card in this post applying a design idea  by  Therese Calvird on Pinterest here! Actually, after I saw her card design I have been using  the 3D  die cut frame to add interest to very simple compositions.

This is a C6 ( A6 ) card  and to  make it  I stamped the images using Real Red Ink by Stampin' Up! and the leaves with Garden Green Ink by Stampin' Up! Using a Nuvo Water Brush I pull off  the ink from the edges of the images to completely fill  them with that colour. 

I also used a Derwent red watercolor pencil to draw  lines on the flower petals and a Uni-ball black pen to add black dots around the flowers pistils. I splattered the piece using Salty Ocean Distress ink and I stamp the sentiment from Hero Arts Little One Stamp Set then I die cut the panel.
