Hello everyone, it seems forever since my last post... and I would like to apologies for my absence but we recently moved home and it has been an epic time for me and my family. However, today I had to brake the silence and stretch the day to share some pictures of just one of the samples I made for the new Dimensions - Cupcake & Treat Box Die Set released today.
In the post today I'm using Cupcake & Treat Box dies and I have the pleasure to play with other 2 new, spectacular and versatile dies : a cake slice, a triangle aspect box. I'm loving them.
Click here to see video demonstrations, ideas and inspiration.
The Cupcake & Treat Box includes 16 dies, easy to use . I made a bunch of boxes in minutes using a Stampin' Up! Big Shot, a Cuttlebug and a Big Shot Plus and the dies worked fine.
When using these embossing machines I had to add a layer of cardstock to add pressure to the sandwich to get a clean cut when using the detailed dies in the pack, there is not need to do this when using any other die in the pack, the other dies will cut 2 layers of cardstock with no problem and I would rather prefer to use the Cuttlebug or the Stampin' Up! Big Shot to cut paper in general as they do not leave undesirable embossing marks even when the embossing plates are worn. The Big Shot Plus sadly mark the paper and I really do't like the results.
These dies cut and emboss creating beautiful details on the cardstcok ... Simple beautiful
There is a die in the set to create a perfect insert to place a standard cupcake inside the box.
To make the insert you need a 12x12cm piece of cardstock, then score 2.5cm all around and cut the centre of the box with the die. To finish, cut the corners of the piece in diagonal and paste them in place.
I also made a mini card + envelope with the dies and a bit of stamping ...
An below another mini envelope idea. You can also use the panel of the box to create a tag.
And below a screen shot of a video I 'm editing to show you how to work with the dies. Did you see that cupcake die? the tags?
That's all! I hope you enjoy the projects today.
Happy Crafting

Happy Valentine's Day !!
February 14, 2017
Hello everyone, this is a very quick post to wish you a Happy San Valentine's day! and to share a very easy and simple card idea.
This is a last minute card I made for my husband today. I have to wait for him to arrive from work, then dinner, then children's bath, now I can publish my post :)
I guess we all need love cards everyday.... as "love" is something that we should share daily!
To make this card I used 2 dies from Mandala Moments Dies collection from Tonic Studios they cut 2 layers of thick paper like butter. I used my Stampin' Up! Big Shot to cut with these dies and I just passed the dies once through the machine to get a perfect cut.
Something I have to say is that this card was a bit difficult to photograph as the gold cardstock I used for the sentiment is literary like a mirror so I have to find a right angle to try and get the right colour in the pictures and not get my reflection on the sentiment!
The gold sentiment was die cut out of Craft Perfect Mirror Card by Tonic Studios. The colour is Harvest Gold.
Since Tonic sent me samples of this card in different striking colours I can't stop die cutting words out of this high gloss cardstock! I love it.. it is something so very new to me.
I also visited Hobbycraft yesterday and I noticed that Daler Rowney sell a smooth card that comes in a stack of 20 sheets . It was next to the watercolour paper so I couldn't resist and I bought a stack to give it a try.
It is ultra smooth and is 100% white (not ivory). The name of this cardstock is Bristol Board - Airbrush 250g and I used for the front panel. I'll be stamping on it later to see what its performance.
The card base was made using thick Whisper White cardstock by Stampin' Up!
That's all! I hope you enjoy this project and do not hesitate to ask any question or leave a comment. I would love to heard from you.
Happy Crafting.

6 card ideas with Mandala Moments dies by Tonic Studios
February 02, 2017
When I saw Mandala Moments by Tonic Studios I was quite intrigued. I have to say that I have never seen anything like this collection of stamps and dies despite seeing the shop shelves filled with Zen Colouring books that include mandalas designs.
I always thought that colouring images with such amount of detail could be very boring and it wasn't my thing. However, I only needed to stamp the images on a piece of whisper white cardstock and for the very first time I had the opportunity to enjoy and discover the benefits of Zen colouring and on top of that I could make cards with these images ... it was a relaxing and enjoyable experience...

However, I only needed to stamp the images on a piece of whisper white cardstock and for the very first time I had the opportunity to enjoy and discover the benefits of Zen colouring and on top of that I could make cards with these images ... it was a relaxing and enjoyable experience...
Mandala Moments collection includes stamps with bold chunky words and 3 images ( lady bird, dragonfly and a flower) with mandalas patterns all over them and it comes with big, chunky, coordinating dies. Plop! the dies are to die for and I try them with my 3 embossing machines: Cuttlebug, Stampin' Up! big Shot, and Big Shoot Plus, they worked just fine on any of them.
Tonic also sent me the Nuvo Creative Pen Collection (Dual tipped alcohol based markers) and Nuvo Brush Scrip Pens Collection (water based, ultra fine tip pens), and I used the same 3 colours on each collection to add colours to all the cards today.
I also used my sewing machine to apply stitches over the cardstock and create frames for some of my cards.
Ok, so first I want to share a Valentine's Day Card idea.
I can't take the design as my own. I CASE it from Agniezka Malyszek here. I die cut the words out of Whisper White Cardstock By Stampin' Up! then I stamped them over using Memento Black Ink with a floral stamp from Marmalade's World Collection ( Also by Tonic Studios).
I use one of the stamps on Blooming Love stamp set by Stampin' Up! the : XOXO and I stamped it with Memento black Ink.
The card base was made in Sahara Sand cardstock by Stampin' Up!
For the card below I use the stamps and the dies and I added colours with Nuvo Markers.
I die cut a C6 whisper white panel and I stamped the words in a square scrap piece of the same cardstock. I added colour and pasted these images well aligned behind the die cut panel with dimensionals.
Below a very simple card made using the dragonfly stamp and die
And here is a very minimalist sample with the lady bird .
I thought these dies are amazing to apply a partial die cutting technique and get those words popping up from the edge of a card.
I also thought that these dies will make nice shaker cards, regardless if you use them with the coordinating stamp or if you just use only the dies.
There are endless possibilities to play and make original things with these dies and stamps. the sky is the limit really ( boxes, tags, key rings, bags.. etc etc etc)
The dies measures about 3cm height ( 1-1/8" ) there are many words in the collection. The word "You" or "For" for example measures about 8 cm width (3") while the word "hugs" measures 10cm width (4"). the word Love measures about 9.5cm (3-3/4").
I'm thrilled with all the products I have received from Tonic Studios and to be part of their " unofficial Design Team" a new adventure to share with you in 2017.
That's all!
Thanks for visiting my blog today. I hope you like these projects and you can find in my blog a source of inspiration and ideas for your paper craft projects.
Do not hesitate to ask any questions or leave a comment. I would love to hear from you.
Happy Crafting.
