I also want to share about the paper I used for today. You know I'm a bit  pickky about paper and I recently placed my second order of cardstock from Papermill Direct here in the UK and I have to say that it is good!!! love it.  They do not have the same range of colours as  Simon Says Stamps ( one of my fav coloured cardstock )  but as I can't always get cardstock from USA, I tried this paper and it is all right.

oh! I used cardstock from their Cumbria Colour Collection: blue, greens and pink. The colours are yummy,  the paper is also easy to die cut and produce lovely sharp finished edges.  The projects feels luxurious and sturdy. They do offer smooth 300 grams cardstock and I have been using that paper for a while to make my own card bases. Honestly, it is lovely and it also works fine with alcohol markers as well ( not recommended to use with water-based coloring tools).

Oh! and a super extra info, they also have a cardstock 250 grams that is the exact colour of SU whisper white cardstock and you can get an exorbitant amount of paper for £15 including postage as is heavy. That paper is awesome for card bases ( I have been using it for over a year now) so I keep whisper white cardstock only for stamping.

Hello everyone, we had the sunniest day today in the North of Scotland and also the hottest in about 8 months.  Unbelievable 22 degrees! it was lovely.

At the end of the day, I  could sit for a while to enjoy papercraft and  watercolor to finish the card in this post.

 I  used  Spring Blooms Stamp Set by Honey Bee Stamps. The sentiment is from Mr & Mrs Stamp Set  also from Honey Bee Stamps.

I loved how easily I stamped the floral arrangement  using a masking technique  oh!! and this card is Huge is 5.5 " x 8" inches.

 I also bought a very cool sand table and holly caw it was hard to put together.  I wrongly thought that

Just to make a comparison so you could understand a bit more about  Gouache characteristic: Gouache is to watercolour paints what Distress oxides are to traditional Distress inks...  can you imagine how cool is that? PLOP

It is very creamy and you can dilute it with water to be used as watercolours.  You can mix and blend shades to create new intense and stunning colours.  You can use it on cardmaking even with stencils. Oh I love the possibilities new colouring tools brings to my craft room.

To create the peach colour I mix red, yellow and white. The purple was created by mixing red and blue with a  hint of white. You can get different green shades by mixing different amounts of blue, yellow, black and white.

I'm still learning which brushes works better, the amount of water,  the paper etc ...  I used supplies I already had in my craft room as Canson watercolour paper and watercolour brushes but I feel my brushes were too soft to work with these paints so I'll have a trip to the craft room to get new brushes.

According to Deana, it seems that the ideal way to work with Gouache it is from the darkest colour to the lightest but I have seen videos doing it differently. I know for sure that there are many ways to achieve results as people to achieve results so if you ever want to try new colouring tools remember that you will find the way to make them work and that will be 100% fine as well.
