• I  first die cut all the pieces and I put together the little foxes.
• Then, using border dies from the Spellbinders Large Die of the Month (in the pictures) to die cut a pattern on the background piece.
• I also used  Fashion Gold embellishments. They become essential for my cards.. they are so pretty!

For the card above:

•  I glued a piece of pink paper from the paper pad that coordinates nicely with the pink cardstock color included in the kit and that I used to make the foxy.
• I added a banner with a hot foiled sentiment.  
• I used  Everyday Sentiments II glimmer Hot Plate to make several banners and I have several ready so I just add them to my projects.

For the card below: 

• I also used a checked paper from the paper pad.
• I heat embossed in white the large sentiment from the stamp set included in the kit.
• For the background, I used a piece of olive green paper I had in my stash (not included in the kit)

Bonus Projects



I quickly put together these three cards to share extra ideas.

• For two of these cards, I  used the stamp set and the card base included in the kit
• I simply stamped directly on the card bases using FSJ inks ( in the supplies list). 
• Then, using dimensional foam pads I stick die-cut shapes also included in the kit
• The card in the center was made only using die-cut shapes and a card base.
• I embellished all the cards with the kit gold sequins.

Note: FSJ inks ( in the supplies list) are wonderful they produce crisp stamped images.

I also used Gorgeous Gift Boxes die set bot die sets are great to create projects for any occasion but when using  Susan's Garden Club dies you can also make crafts projects in any size.

You can also cut a wide variety of material and use the dies to make jewelry, hairpins, to embellish sewing projects cutting felt or fabric and even leather... the sky is the limit!

So Susan's Garden dies are designed to create the most realist flowers in the papercraft industry but they can be used in many different ways for any kind of crafts.

The dies will cut paper,  vellum, felt, leather, fabric,  thin chipboard. You might need to use a metal shim with cotton fabrics or thicker materials.

What Paper Can I Use?

In my opinion, the thinner the paper the better but anything under 240 grams will work.

Craft Perfect Cardstock is 216 grams and it is ok for flower making.

You can use any other paper you might have to create less realistic flowers but still very pretty.

So I was tempted to use only white for my cards today but I thought that using bright colors would allow me to show you the die-cut shapes a lot better.

 Paper Piecing and Inlaid Die Cuts

This is harder to explain than to do!

I just did a little bit of paper piecing using Doily Round Etched dies so instead of discarding negative die cuts,  I used them as part of the design.

I started by simply die cutting a doily shaped window on the center of a 5-1/4 x 5 1/4 inches piece of white cardstock and behind it, I glued a solid piece of pink cardstock.

Then, I die cut two doilies our of Blue Lagoon cardstock and  I glued one of them on the aperture aligning the edges with the shaped window.

Using scissors, I cut the outer border of the other blue doily to get a smaller die-cut and I kept it to aside.

Hello everyone,  a video post for you today using the Tonic Studios craft Kit #9.

Red, Ivory and Gold are the colours of the papers in the kit that also includes a 21 pieces die set , a coordinating stamp set with 8 individual stamps and other crafty supplies shown in the video.

With these goodies, you will be able to make easy and quick gift bags for any occasions.

The finished bags will measure length 6 "x width  3-1/2"  x  deep 1-3/4"

 I used other cardstock colours and dies to made bags in different styles to share extra ideas with you




So while some of you are patiently waiting for the pre-ordered  Tonic Studios Craft kit #9  to arrive others might find this information today when sadly the kit has been sold out!! Noooooo

In the video, you will also see my toddler Emma.  She joined me when I was filming  it  and  she gave me ideas to make some of the projects I'm sharing today. We ended up making a bunch of boxes and we might use some of them as spare goodie bags for her birthday party next month... I defo will take the time to customize them according to the party theme... we want unicorns!

Emma is only 4 years old and she did put such enthusiasm on the kit video that she defo deserve the credit so why not to share in spite of the fact that  I had to selectively edit her participation.  She is very loud and she moves around showing her head very often on camera, so you will slightly see her in action but she actually die cut the paper and she really helps with many other things even choosing colour combos.

Once we finished making children themed projects she went home and I stayed in my garden room working alone !Yay!!!

I use DIY sticky fabric shim to apply easy techniques to handle tiny die cuts.  the fabric shim allows me to get the negative image produced by dies   and use it as a main feature of a project (see the box in the middle of the picture above) Using the DIY stickyfabricc shim I also make easy paper piecing as you can die cut the paper with the fabric stuck to its back and it will keep all the die cuts in place, mess-free and ready to be transferred to another panel. ( see   3rd box at the right of the picture above)

Below a close up of a golden paper also included in the kit ...  it is yummy, isn't it?  just  perfect to make  boxes for chocolates or candies.

• The first thing you need to know is that the kits are exclusively sold by Tonic Studios.  Visit : www.tonicstudioscraftkit.com for more information.
•  Kits are sold as a pre-order. They are released about 1 month before customers can get them by post.
• 15 - 10 days before anyone receives the pre-ordered kit, bloggers and Design Team receive theirs to be able to make a video or a blog post with inspiration.
• When bloggers upload a video or blog about a kit,  the next kit is release within a week.
• The kit #10 will be released in about 2 days and you will start watching videos and blog post with inspiration at the end of the month ( may) or beginning of June.   So please do not wait for videos or blog post to be online as the kits are sold way before here.
